What is the most basic level to start preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Exam


     As you have asked the basic level, i would first recommend you to go through the upsc syllabus first,then if you are comfortable with the syllabus then prepare your mind for this big task.

as you have asked this question ,i think you are now planning to take up this exam.if you are a beginner then i would recommend you to read some good novels or some intresting topics for atleast 1–2 months, then start with some boring novels or topics for a month ,this is required because you need to have continuos reading habbit you should not stop or get boared of reading .since upsc also contains some boring subjects to study soo you should not break at any momment(if you are a good reader then you can skip this part).

after all this the most important thing is to prepare a study plan,first start with ncert from 6th to 10th.go through the history , geography , economics& polity part .read those subjects for 3–5 times understand the basic concepts n make the notes .another important thing is you need to revise these subjects frequently n never go out of the plan , stick to your timetable firmly.

then comes the ncert 11 & 12 , here also do the same thing but here you do with some precision.

after completing all these then you go with core books which you can select by watching some videos or from articles of reputated institutions or through some good websites, here you need to do the things with most precision n here there are lot of things to work on ……. n here your optionals will also come to play

in all these stages you should not stop reading newspaper n the most important thing is that you should not break down …
